Morning dancers,

Have you ever wish to prevent injury? or get better techniques? or simply dance without getting too tired???
If so, today's tip is just for you!!

Correct alignment helps reduce injuries and promotes technique because it allow you to access right muscle group to work better. It also assists the body to function more effectively mechanically, allowing the movement to be energy efficient-you don't get tired so easily because of that! The spine holds a natural S shaped curve (we have talked about this previously in this page).

So how can we keep the correct alignment? By remembering that the through-line, the imaginary line that passes directly through the centre of the body passes through the middle of the ears, shoulder joint, hip joint, knee joint and finally to the mid to the front of the ankle joint (see the pic). EASY!
